About J2 Real Estate
J2 Real Estate was founded in 2016 by Jonnie Jamison, the very proud daughter of a custom home builder turned commercial real estate entrepreneur. Jonnie credits much of J2’s success to the seeds that were planted years ago by watching her father run various real estate companies. Jonnie has been actively involved in the Washington, DC real estate market since 2003. Prior to launching J2, Jonnie was Executive Vice President at Urban Pace, a Long & Foster Company, and prior to that she worked with Compass and Beasley Real Estate where she was involved in general brokerage and new construction sales with one of the top producing teams in the DC metro area. Earlier in her career, Jonnie served as a sales director for McWilliams Ballard Inc. Since 2003, she has accumulated over $400 million in sales and has been responsible for the marketing, sales and/or renovation of over 1,000 homes.
Jonnie Jamison
Prior to selling residential real estate, Jonnie worked as a strategy and IT consultant for Accenture where she managed system implementations for the federal government. She earned her degree in Business Administration from American University, where she became a Division 1 Regional All-American in field hockey. When Jonnie isn’t busy selling or managing the construction of residential real estate, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their cute Cavapoo pup. She remains involved in the community by volunteering with Open Door Sports, the Mother's Club of St John's College High School, Janney Elementary School, and Georgetown’s Holy Trinity Parish. Jonnie also teaches complimentary yoga sculpt classes in an effort to connect her neighbors and friends throughout the DMV. She and her family currently reside in American University Park.
Karen Belt
Karen Belt joined J2 Real Estate in January 2021 after spending two decades working for Marriott International in Recruiting & Training, Project & Event Management, Culture & Volunteerism, and Corporate Social Responsibility. She has lived her entire life in the DMV, so she knows the area VERY WELL! Karen is passionate about people and design which led her to pursue a second career in residential real estate. Karen serves as a Sales Associate as well as the Assistant to the President. When Karen isn’t working with J2’s fabulous clients, contractors and vendors, you will find her spending time with her husband of 28 years, their 3 beautiful children, and precious pup, Lulu. She also loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. Karen gives back to her community by volunteering with Walter Johnson High School, Comfort Cases, and Food & Friends DC.
Raquel Torres O'Brien
Born in Burgos, Spain, Raquel Ortega is a sommelier. Her family owns a little vineyard in the heart of Ribera del Duero, and her grandfather was a founding partner of one of the first wine co-operatives in the area in the 60s, a true pioneer. Needless to say, Raquel lives the wine life!
Raquel graduated in Advertising and Public Relations from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid, Spain), in 2012 and later moved to the US to work and continue her studies. After getting her Masters in Business Administration in 2015, she felt the need to be closer to her roots, so she decided to pursue a career in wine. Raquel decided to take all her years of education and experience in restaurants and started her own wine consulting company: EN WINE LLC.
In 2021, Raquel decided to pursue a career in residential real estate, given her passion for working with people and her love for living in Washington, DC. In July, she made the switch from Keller Williams to join J2 and she continues to run her wine consulting company as a side hustle.
She lives in the fast-growing neighborhood of Deanwood in Washington, DC with her husband, cat, and newborn daughter.
